Prayer Column

We read the believers’ prayer from Acts ch. 4 v 23-31 “why do nations rage..... Stretch out your hand to heal..... “

We gave thanks for the courage and perseverance of the first disciples and for all the agencies who spread God’s word today. In

In Wales a new museum is about to open to commemorating Mary Jones who walked miles so that she could get herself a bible. We prayed that many would visit and be drawn to learn more about Jesus.

In South Africa Tear Fund has set up a new ministry entitled ‘We have hope’. This is to help children who have experienced violence or sexual abuse. We prayed for those who work to help these children recover.

Our prayers continued for a calming of the anger and turmoil in Ukraine and that civil war may be avoided . Also for Syria where cities have been destroyed and people are starving. May peace come.

We prayed against Boko Haram in Nigeria where their violent campaigns are causing great fear and prayed for a restitution of their homes of the abducted schoolgirls. May moderate Muslims speak out to halt the fanaticism of the Boko Haram movement.

We gave thanks for answered prayer at recent church and outdoor community events fro the people who have enjoyed all the activities. May they know that Jesus loves them.

Lord Give us humility that we may follow you discernment, that we may recognise you and love that we may know you.
