Please do take bundles of cards when they appear on the welcome desk and help deliver them if you can. PLEASE only use each bundle for the road name listed on it, to avoid any confusion. Thank you. Becca.

There will NOT be a Chippy Church in December.

The Mission Shaped Ministry course that Becca did over the last year will be running again locally (Psalter Lane) from January 2015. It is a great chance to explore fresh expression style church and learn how other people are trying new things. If you are interested in knowing more, see Becca.

Prayer Group Column

We gave thanks for the work done by Samaritans Purse and for all the donations of filled shoe-boxes, knitted goods etc. May they bring joy to the children who receive them. Thanks too for the success of the Christmas Fayre. Many people came - may God help us to move forward and make the Gospel message clear to our community.

We gave thanks for the small groups which have been meeting over the past few weeks and prayed that those involved will have gained from the experience so that we can feel more able to proclaim the message of Jesus, especially at this time of year.

We remembered the 'Christians Against Poverty' group - working in areas of Sheffield to relieve hardship by providing food banks, meals, friendship etc.

We prayed for those for whom Christmas is a time of anxiety and a temptation to get into debt. May we keep a focus on the meaning of Christmas and support those in need; the lonely, the bereaved etc.

Our prayers continued for areas of conflict around the world thinking especially of Iraq and Syria and the problems faced by politicians dealing with the radicalisation of young men and women.

We gave thanks that various 'plots' to disrupt life in this country have been foiled.
