Prayer Group

From Deuteronomy, chapter 30, we read: "Love the Lord your God, walk in His ways and obey His commands."... etc...

As we see a broken world in need of healing and where people cry out for justice, we prayed that God will give us the courage to speak out for a just society - one which does follow God's ways.

Looking at the huge gap between rich and poor, we prayed for church leaders worldwide to be a voice to close this gap and bring God's voice to the forefront.

We prayed about the election and that those elected will be mindful of the problems faced by the poor and needy, so that everyone may have a good life and that they will work together for the good of the whole nation.

Our prayers continued for the people of Nepal.

We prayed for our Methodist circuit, for all those in positions of authority and those leading worship. May they be prompted by God's Holy Spirit. May that same Spirit bring renewal to us all that we may reflect His unconditional love.
