Prayer Group

The Prayer Group meets every Saturday & Sunday 9:00-9:30am.

Last week we read Psalm 34.

We remembered in our prayers many commemorative anniversaries that have taken place during the last week.

We remembered the victims of 7/7 (7th July) disaster of 10 years ago. We remembered those who are still suffering physically and emotionally from that bombing.

The freeing of Auschwitz was 70 years ago. We prayed for the memories of Auschwitz, hoping that such events will never occur again.

We remembered the 20 year anniversary of the massacre of Muslim men and boys in Srebrenica. Over 8,000 of them were killed and it has taken over 20 years to identify most of the victims. We prayed for the families torn apart and we remembered the victims who were so cruelly slaughtered.

We remembered the massacre of 30 Britons and other tourists in Tunisia. We prayed for their families who lost loved ones in such dreadful circumstances.

We prayed for the country of Tunisia so heavily dependent on tourism. We prayed that peace will return and economic security may come.

We prayed for the people who stand up against violence. We remembered the peace walk in London, where people walked home as a protest for peace.

We prayed for all preachers.
