HARC (Homeless and Rootless at Christmas). The church will shortly be sending a donation to HARC which seeks to provide food and accommodation for those on the streets of Sheffield over the Christmas period. If you would like to support this worthy cause please pass your donation to Di or Margaret P. and this will be forwarded with the church's gift.

Support UNICEF this Christmas. As in previous years, a panel will be available at the back of the worship area of our church, for those who wish to display a token card to their friends at Wisewood. By doing so, we ask for a donation in lieu of money spent on cards. We will support UNICEF this Christmas 2016. Margaret T.

Used Stamps. Hello friends, just a reminder that Christmas is on the way and I still collect used stamps for St.Luke’s Hospice. Thank you for your support over the years. Betty.

The Advent Study Group will run for 3 more weeks, on Wednesdays, at 7:30pm, at Hillsborough Trinity Methodist Church. The information is on the posters around church. All are welcome. Katie.

Vivacity Choir are holding their annual Christmas concert at Wisewood Methodist Church on Saturday 10th December, at 6.30pm, in support of the charity 'Carmel Care Centre'. For further details, please see the blue poster on the notice board.

Wisewood Christmas Celebration by Friends of Wisewood & District will take place on Sunday 11th December, starting at 3:30pm, in the RIVA building and car park. Please come along to support this community event and join in the carol singing with Stannington training band. Many items are free but there will also be things for sale and RIVA will be selling refreshments.

Church Postbox will be available from Sunday 4th December. The last collection will be at 10:30am on Sunday 18th December. No deliveries will be made. Enid.

Owls and Penguins. Remember to bring back your owls and penguins to the Nativity Service of Sunday 18th December, 10:30am.

Church Christmas Cards - UPDATE. This year the delivery is being shared with the Friends of Wisewood who have a leaflet to deliver in addition to our Christmas Card. Not every address is on the Wisewood list. I am taking this opportunity to say a big thank you to all those who have helped in the delivery of these cards and leaflets to the community. David Bishop.

Prayer Group Report

The Prayer group didn't meet last weekend, but there are prayer needs detailed in the Prayer Book on the welcome desk.

Please continue to pray for peace and for the various Aid agencies working in difficult circumstances to help the needy in many parts of the world. We think of the homeless in this country who sleep on our streets, especially at this time of year when the weather is so cold.
