Ecumenical events happening for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity (18th – 25th January):
- Hillsborough Network Prayer on Wednesday 18th January, 7:30pm refreshments, 8:00-9:00pm prayer at Hillsborough Baptist Church.
- Prayer Walk on Saturday 21st January, between 10:30-11:30am, meeting at Hillsborough Tabernacle.
Burns Night Fundraiser will be on Saturday 21st January, 7:00-9:00pm, in the church hall. A traditional Scottish night in aid of the 39th Sheffield Guides and Senior Section, including haggis, nips, tatties, shortbread, ice cream, desserts and games. Tickets are £10 for over 16s, £5 for under 16s, available to purchase today, or on Tuesday, or at the door on Saturday (pre book place so we know how many to cater for). Amanda.
Next Cafe Church will be on Sunday 29th January at 10:30am. Cafe Church is a more informal style service, held in the church hall and seated around tables, to encourage discussion and a different style of worshipping, all while also having the opportunity to be refreshed with tea, coffee, juice and pastries! Suitable for all ages. Do come along and enjoy!
Church Action on Poverty. On Sunday 5th February at 1:00pm there will be a Hunger Lunch in aid of the above. All are welcome. Your generous support enabled our church to send over £400 last year. Your support would be appreciated again this year. Please book the date. Jenny and Dorothy.
Next Church Council Meeting is on Tuesday 7th February, at 7:30pm, in the worship area.

UNICEF. The sum of £100 has been forwarded to UNICEF, this being raised by Wisewood members making donations rather than sending individual Christmas cards to their church friends. Thank you. Margaret T.
Branching Out. The deadline for all articles for the next church magazine is Sunday 12th February. Please email Stuart C. Thanks.
Prayer Corner. As part of working at Wisewood on a Monday, Katie has been setting up a Prayer Corner in the entrance area. There are seasonal prayer activities for everyone to interact with and use, so please feel welcome to use the space. Keep an eye out for when Katie changes the activities in the prayer corner!
