‘Ramble Church'. On Sunday 27th August, as an alternative to the 'Songs of Praise' service, there will be an approx. 4 mile ramble with a short time of reflection. If you wish to participate, please meet at Rowel Bridge at 10:00am. Hilde.

Sierra Leone flood appeal. As many of you will know, on Monday 14th August there was an horrendous mudslide and flooding near Freetown, in the hillside area of Regent. Several hundreds of people have been confirmed dead and over 100 properties submerged. Help is desperately needed. The help we can immediately give is in offering our prayers and having a retiring collection. The monies collected will be channelled through Christian Aid, which Sue Bagshaw will organize. Thank you as always for your generous support. Church Stewards.

Mission in Britain. If you have a collection box or make an annual donation for mission work within Methodism, please see Neil or Hilde as soon as possible, as the amounts have to be sent in by the end of August. Thank you.

Overseas Missions. Please can you hand boxes in to Jill, as soon as possible. If you wish to make a donation, also please see Jill.

Macmillan Coffee Morning will be held in the church hall, on Saturday 9th September 10:30am-1:00pm. Bacon sandwiches will be on the menu and there will be Cake and Bring & Buy stalls. Please come along and support this very worthy cause. Pat S.

Worship Consultation Committee. The next meeting will be on Tuesday 12th September at 7:30pm in the Owlerton Room. This is for Stewards, Local Preachers, Worship Leaders, PowerPoint operators and musicians. John G.

Harvest Social. There will be a Faith Supper on Saturday 23rd September, 6:30pm for a 7:00pm start, followed by home grown entertainment. Please sign up on the list in the foyer if you are coming. If you are able to provide either a savoury or sweet dish, then this would be appreciated (please indicate which on the list) but this is not a requirement to attend. Everyone is welcome and there is no charge. If you are able to provide about 3 minutes of post-supper entertainment, then please see either Sue Ro. or Howard.

Circuit Service on Sunday 17th September at 6:00pm at Firth Park (not at Warren, as stated on the preaching plan). It will be led by Rev. Judith Jessop, Naomi Gordon and Nick Waterfield and will include a video about their pioneer ministries. Refreshments will be served after the service.
