Wedding. We would like to say an enormous 'thank you' to all of you for making our wedding so special. So many of you worked really hard to arrange things for us. It was an unbelievably memorable day which we shall never forget. Also, thanks for an incredible 131 gorgeous cards and the many thoughtful presents. We had said no presents, but it was a joy to receive them and all so suitable. We are so very fortunate to belong to a wonderful and caring church, where life's 'highs and lows' are celebrated by the whole church family. With our love and thanks again. God bless. Di and John.

Howard and Joan would like to thank everyone for all the love and support they have received over the last few weeks. They have been deeply touched by all the cards of sympathy and celebration. A donation of £250 has been sent to the Alzheimer's Society in memory of Lily.

The Pastoral Committee is meeting on Tuesday 10th October at 7:30pm.

Prayer Group Report

We read Psalm 95 - Come let us sing for joy to the Lord... for we are the people of His pasture, the flock under His care.

We gave thanks for our church and for the new President and Vice-president of Conference.

We prayed for the Holy Spirit's guidance and inspiration for them and for all leading worship, especially in this area.

Thanks too for the happiness of Di and John's wedding day. May all those who came have felt the love of God in all that happened.

As is usual we remembered in prayer those mentioned in our Prayer Book, those recovering from or awaiting hospital procedures and others in distress. May their anxieties be relieved.

Our prayers continued for those caught up in recent hurricanes/ floods/earthquake - so many lives, homes, businesses lost. We gave thanks for the help being offered by others to the ones most badly affected. We prayed for peace in areas where persecution, war and turmoil continue to cause misery, poverty and distress for huge numbers of people. The United Nations is trying to solve the problems caused by North Korea's nuclear testing. We prayed for the U.N. and for the countries close to N. Korea and feeling under threat. May more dialogue lead to a calming and eventual solution to the problem.
