Jean's Funeral - I have a confession to make. When I was doing Jean's eulogy, I had lost my notes and had to ad-lib. I missed out something that I felt was very important. Wisewood Church was Jean's family and she was so loved and supported by a lot of people during her final illness. While she was in the hospice, she was surrounded by cards, plants and flowers. More importantly, even though Jean has no children, she had a constant stream of visitors. It is a tribute to Jean that so many people wanted to visit her. The love and support of Wisewood Church was a tremendous witness to Jean's friends and family. The love of Christ was really shown in Jean and in our response as a church family. Joan B.

Ordinands Testimony Service - this afternoon at 4:00pm at Broom Methodist Church (1 Stag Close, Rotherham S60 3NE). A chance to celebrate with our probationer Jill Pullan as she shares with us her journey towards ordination.

Film 'The Danish Girl' is going to be shown this Friday 15th June at 7:30pm, in the church hall. This is for adults only.

8-yr-old Jay is running the 5k Race for Life event at Graves Park next Sunday, 17th June, at 11:00am. We know that a lot of you have sponsored him. but there's always room for more! Please spare him a thought on the race day. Phil.

Stamps - Just a reminder, friends, that if you have a letter or card delivered with a stamp on the envelope, I am still collecting them (the stamps not the envelopes!!). Betty.

Circuit Service - Local Preacher Accreditation Service for Wendy Cartwright is on Sunday 24th June 2018 at 6:30pm (note different time) at Walkley Ebenezer Methodist Church, Greenhow Street, S6 3TP.

Annual Church Meeting - Tuesday 26th June at 7:30pm.

Circuit Farewell Service for Rev. David Markay at St Paul's Methodist Church, 85 Green Lane, Dronfield S18 2LP will take place on Sunday 8th July at 6:00pm.
