Macmillan Coffee Morning is fast approaching and Wisewood are doing their share on SATURDAY 14th SEPTEMBER from 10:30am to 1:00pm. Please come along and support this very worthy cause. There will also be a cake stall and 'Bring and Buy'. Thanks. Pat & Sue.
Used Stamps - I have been in touch with St. Lukes’ re their collection of used postage stamps. Unfortunately, they no longer want any. It seems a shame not to recycle stamps if we possibly can. If anyone knows who might like them would you please tell me. Thank you. Bridget M.
Autumn Magazine - The closing date for articles for the next edition of 'Branching Out' will be Sunday 22nd September. If you contribute to a charity, through church, we invite you to write an article about it for the next edition. Thank you. Stuart C. and Bridget.
Graham's workshop is available for anyone to use to produce items for the Christmas Fayre.
Katie's day off has reverted to Friday.
Radical Hospitality - On Saturday 14th September, the Sheffield Methodist District will be holding their Radical Hospitality conference in Doncaster. We are hoping to gather people from as many as possible of the 160 churches (including LEP’s) across our District. It should be a day which inspires and equips our people to reach out to new people in fresh ways, including an opportunity for those who do not usually come to Methodist events beyond their church or circuit to feel part of a larger missional movement. The day will include worship, talks, opportunities to hear from local churches doing extra-ordinary things and a free lunch. The event will be from 10:30am to 3:30pm at Priory Place Methodist Church. If you would like to come, booking and further details are online via the link Radical Hospitality, which includes a facility for booking multiple tickets if this helps. If people could book sooner rather than later this will help us with catering arrangements. Do let Katrin Hackett in the District office (0114 270 9990) or Neil (email@example.com) know if there is anything we can do to assist with this. Please see Katie if you would like a lift.
