We will also be considering some renovation work.

This will provide an additional 25p for each £1.00 at no extra cost to ourselves. Thank you for your support. It will be most gratefully received. Stella.

Thank You Very Much to all who contributed to this year's May Market. We raised £857.00. Brilliant effort, everybody. Di.

It's Good To Be Back in service after my enforced lay off. Many thanks to all who have enquired in any way about my health and offered prayers for me. Many thanks too to Lucy, Di and Marjorie for keeping the music going during this far too long period of absence, not forgetting the help from the brass section! Thank you all. Trevor.

Becca & Dave’s Wedding. Everyone is invited on Saturday 30th July, at 1:45pm, at Wisewood Church. If you live locally and can avoid using your car, or share lifts with each other, please do, in order to leave room for guests travelling from across the country. Thank you.

Prayer Group Report

We read from Mark's Gospel, chapter 4: "The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you."

We prayed that all followers of Jesus will understand His message. May they do and give all they can, to spread His love.

We have heard of several tragedies in recent days. In Orlando a young singer was killed, then a few days later, also in Orlando, 49 people were massacred whilst enjoying a night out in a night club. We prayed for all those affected by these senseless killings.

Closer to home the death of MP Jo Cox following an attack in her constituency was difficult to comprehend. She had devoted her life to helping others and speaking out for justice. We prayed for her husband and two young children, for her extended family and friends.

Refugees are still using overcrowded inflatable boats to cross the Mediterranean Sea to reach Europe. Last week 140 people were rescued from almost certain death by Medecins Sans Frontieres workers after being spotted drifting helplessly in heavy seas. They were transferred to MSF 's own ship - Bourbon Argos - and taken to safety. We gave thanks for their rescue and we prayed for peace and an end to the difficulties which are causing so many people to flee their homes.

We prayed for the work of Medecins Sans Frontieres which provides medical care in many war-torn areas.
