Rev. Bernard W. Blanchard

We are sorry to learn of the death of Bernard Blanchard who was the Architect of our new church at Wisewood.

As an architect with his own practice in Hull, he was particularly associated with the building of Methodist churches in Yorkshire including the redesign and renovation of Sheffield Victoria Hall.

We were fortunate to obtain his professional services and found him to be very sympathetic to and supportive of all our requirements.

He was at that time a local preacher in the Hull District but later offered himself for the Ministry where he was able to give twelve years service before retirement. We were especially delighted to welcome him back to Wisewood to preach on the occasion of our 10th Anniversary.
