Pentecost Street Party with choirs and entertainment is being held on Sunday 4th June, between 3:00pm-5:00pm, on the cathedral forecourt. This will be followed by a service at 5:30pm inside the cathedral for which tickets are required. Your Church needs YOU. Yes you! There are a number of roles that need filling in the life of our Church. If you would like to know more about them, please speak to Katie or one of the Stewards. We need a Christian Aid co-ordinator and church stewards. Could you do one of these roles? More information can be found on the reception desk.

Stories for the magazine. We would be very interested in the stories behind some of the artefacts within the church / items of interest that have been donated or bequeathed i.e. the painting behind the choir stalls, furniture, embroidery, pictures etc... and how they came to be at Wisewood. If you have any information regarding any interesting objects in the church, or perhaps they have special meanings for you, please share. Thanks. Stuart C.

General Election. The Joint Public Issues Team have created resources, without Political Party bias, to help us Christians prayerfully reflect on the issues facing us. You can find them online at http://www.jointpublicissues.org.uk/resources/study-resources. Katie has also printed a couple of copies of a resource called ‘Faith in Politics’ which people are welcome to take home and use.

Polling Day - Thursday 8th June. The church is, once again, being used as a polling station. Please do not come into the church unless you are voting. Thank you.

Open Farm Sunday is on 11th June 12:00noon-3:00pm at Loxley Valley Community Farm, Rodney Hill, S6 6SG (opposite Woodstock Road). Meet the animals, farm tour / talks, refreshments, plants and produce sale, find out how to get involved! Free entry. See you there?

Churches Together Fun Day is on Saturday 24th June, 1:00pm-4:00pm. As usual, refreshments will be served and we are asked to supply as many cakes as possible. If you are able to provide a cake on the day please sign the list in the vestibule. Similarly, books and DVD's will be given away if you have any you wish to donate. In addition, volunteers are needed to steward various children's games and bouncy castle during the afternoon and to dismantle and clear up at the end. If you are able to help please also sign the list.

June Chippy Church is cancelled.

Susan C. would like to thank her many friends from church who attended her 70th birthday tea in the hall on Sunday 21st May. She was also very grateful for the many cards she has received. Finally, many thanks to Enid for her organisation.

Prayers. Please continue to pray for people mentioned in the prayer book which can be found on the welcome desk.
