Early Easter Morning Service - A short service outside the church's front doors, at 8:30am, followed by a light breakfast in the church hall.
Easter Flowers - Remember to bring a flower with you to put into the Easter Garden this morning.
Gift Day Envelopes - Due to the snow, two weeks ago we weren’t able to have our Gift Day service, but there still is an opportunity to share the gift you may have liked to give. We are collecting the envelopes for gift day this morning. Could they be placed on the collection plate, labelled ‘Gift Day’ or handed to one of the stewards, please. Thank you.
AFCH Easter Fun Day - Tuesday 3rd April 10:00am-3:00pm. Easter crafts, egg decorating, Easter bonnets, egg hunt, food and drinks. All welcome and free! For more info, 07956720555 or communityhub.yolasite.com.
The Community Singers will NOT be meeting on Thursday 5th and 12th April. Tim.
Holiday Fun Day is to be held in and around RIVA on Wednesday 11th April, between 10:00am and 1:00pm. There will be various children's activities (including crafts and bouncy castle), tombola, etc... plus lunches and other refreshments provided by RIVA. Do come along and invite your friends and neighbours. Margatet P.
Family Friendly Film Evening - On Friday 13th April at 5:30pm we will be watching Pete’s Dragon (PG). Please bring some snacks and feel free to share! There will also be Pete’s Dragon theme crafts. All ages welcome, but please can children be accompanied. Katie.
Gordon Adams' (who died unexpectedly before Christmas) Memorial Service will be on Sunday 15th April, at 2:00pm at Brightholmlee Methodist Church. All are welcome to come and celebrate Gordon’s life.
Church Council Meeting - Tuesday 17th April, at 7:30pm.
Big Brekkie - Advance date for your diaries! On Saturday 5th May, in the morning, there will be a Big Brekkie at church, to support Christian Aid. Times to be confirmed. Any willing volunteers to help, please speak to Sue B.
Service cancellation - Twice this winter the Church Stewards, in consultation with the Preacher on the day, have had to cancel services due to adverse weather conditions. We use the telephone tree system whereby the Church Stewards inform all the pastoral class leaders which services have been cancelled, who in turn inform everyone in their class. Please make sure that your class leader has your current home/mobile details thus ensuring you being informed of any cancellations. Thank you.
