Shoeboxes will be available to purchase from Sunday 28th October at a cost of 40p each. Sets of hats, scarves and mittens will be available to purchase from Sunday 4th November. Hope you can support this worthwhile charity. Enid.
Wisewood Community Singers will NOT be meeting on Thursday 1st November (during half term). Katie.
Chapel Anniversary Dinner is on Saturday 3rd November at 6:30pm. There will be a meal followed by entertainment. If you would like to attend, please add your name to the list on the vestibule desk. £6.50 adults, £4 under 16's. Money to be paid to Howard.
Are you green fingered? We are looking for a small team of people to look after the garden at the front of the church, which especially needs a little bit of tending to before winter. If you could help, please speak to Howard.
Cards for Good Causes - The charity card shop is now open at 20 Chapel Walk (the same shop as last year) 10:15am-4:15pm Monday to Saturday. We would love to see you there (I am there all day Tuesday). You may recognise other volunteers, as well. Enid.
Volunteers are needed for the Christmas Card Shop. You do not need to do every week or the same days. If you feel you could help or would like more information, please contact me. There is also a poster on the notice board. Enid.
Sheffield Teachers' Choir presents 'A Celebration of 50 years' on Saturday 10th November at 7:30pm at Holy Trinity Church, Grove Rd, Millhouses, Sheffield S7 2HB. Tickets: £10 adult, £8 concession (60+ and students), free for under 16’s are available at the door or from Joan W. / John G. / Marjorie C.
Remembrance Service on Sunday 11th November at 10:45am at Hillsborough Trinity Methodist Church led by Rev'd Katie. A service of remembrance to commemorate 100 years since the end of World War One and an opportunity to pray and hope together for peace. A united service for the communities of Brightholmlee, Hillsborough Trinity and Wisewood Methodist Church.
Memorial Service - on Sunday 18th November at 3:00pm led by Rev'd Katie - will be an act of worship which will include an opportunity to pause and remember loved ones who have died. You are welcome to bring a picture of your loved ones to display during the service.
