Memorial Service is taking place this afternoon at 3:00pm, led by Rev'd Katie. An act of worship which will include an opportunity to pause and remember loved ones who have died. You are welcome to bring a picture of your loved ones to display during the service.
Shoeboxes are still available to purchase at a cost of 40p each. Sets of hats, scarves and mittens are also still available to purchase. Hope you can support this worthwhile charity. Enid.
Are you green fingered? We are looking for a small team of people to look after the garden at the front of the church, which especially needs a little bit of tending to before winter. If you could help, please speak to Howard B.
The Christmas Fair will be on Saturday 24th November, 11:00am-2:00pm at Wisewood Church. It will include raffle, tombola, cakes, knitted items, jewellery & crafts, plants, cards, gifts, Santa's grotto etc. If you have anything suitable for the stalls, please bring them to church. This will be my last year to organise this event. If anyone would like to take over, please let me know. Thanks. Sue Ru.
Shoebox Service will take place next Sunday, 25th November at 10:30am and will be led by Rev'd Katie Leonowicz and Mrs Joan Bugg. It will be an all age service.
The Community Christmas Event with tree lighting, reindeer etc. will take place in, and around the grounds of, the RIVA cafe and shop (at the top of Laird Road) on SUNDAY 2nd December, from 3:30 until 5:30pm.Stannington Training Band will be playing carols between 3:45 and 4:15pm and Wisewood Church has been asked to help with singing. This is an opportunity for us to meet with and chat to people from our neighbourhood. Margaret P.
