The family of Jean J. would like to thank everybody for their cards, thoughts and prayers. We would particularly like to thank Katie for the lovely service and to Enid and Stella for doing the refreshments. The amount raised for the Children's Hospital Cancer Ward and CLIC Sargent was £330.00.
Foodbank Donations - After feeding 191 people (120 adults and 71 children) Parson Cross Foodbank's shelves were left looking empty. All donations are much appreciated, but they are in urgent need of the following items:
⭐️tinned fish (tuna, sardines)
⭐️tinned meat
⭐️biscuits
⭐️tea bags
⭐️pasta sauce
⭐️tinned curry and chilli
There is a box in the church foyer, if you would like to make donations. Katie.
Songs of Praise - The morning service on Sunday 26th May will be a showcase of our congregation's favourite hymns, led by John Garrett.
Calling all gardeners! - As Naomi S. and Tim C. are getting married at Wisewood Church in less than 2 weeks, we want the garden to look good. Please come and help tidying up, snipping, pruning, sweeping up and making tea for the workers. We will begin at 10:00am on Saturday 1st June. Joan B.
Crucible Theatre Musical 'Guys and Dolls' - I have booked tickets for Friday 10th January 2020 at 7:15pm, £24 each (including a 25% discount) if paid by Sunday 8th June. Please let me know asap if you wish to reserve seats. Cliff.
Tickets for Wisewood Community Singers' concert which is taking place on Saturday 15th June at 7:00pm at Wisewood Church, are obtainable from Bridget or you can ask members of the group. No price for the tickets but we are asking for donations for 2 charities of our choice: MHA and Toilet Twinning. The evening will include refreshments of cakes and hot drinks plus, hopefully, a fun evening. The more the merrier! Bridget.
