The 'Friends of Wisewood & District' group are organising a Fun Day for the local community on Thursday 8th August 11:00am-2:00pm. A variety of activities etc (for children and adults) will be available and all are invited. The event takes place on the site of the former secondary school (Rural Lane/Laird Road) and is supported by the Sports Centre, who are offering a free introduction to badminton, and RIVA, who will be providing refreshments - or bring your own picnic. If you are able to help supervise some of the activities, please speak to Margaret P. Thanks.

Film Evening - the film 'Noah' is going to be shown on Friday 16th August at 7:00pm in the church hall. More details will soon follow.

Mission in Britain: please will all holders of the Mission in Britain boxes and those who give a donation let Hilde or Neil have these as soon as possible. Many thanks for your continued support.

Response to Bible Readings - Following a discussion at Worship Consultation this week, we have agreed that following all bible readings we are encouraging everyone to use the following: Reader: "This is the Word of the Lord." All: "Thanks be to God.”
This will also be projected. This is to help to keep responses consistent and to help people unfamiliar with the range of responses.

Graham's workshop is available for anyone to use to produce items for the Christmas Fayre.

NO Community Singers until Thursday 5th September.

Autumn Magazine - Advance notice - The closing date for articles for the next issue of 'Branching Out' is Sunday 22nd September.
