Christmas Event - on Sunday 1st December between 3:00pm and 5:00pm there will be a Christmas Event on the site of the old school, on the corner of Rural Lane/Laird Road. This is a community event organised by the Friends of Wisewood group and is an opportunity to get alongside our neighbours.  Stannington training band will be playing carols between 3:15pm and 3:45pm and help with the singing would be much appreciated. If anyone is able to help with the activities during the event or help with getting things ready from about 1:00 o'clock, this too would be most helpful. Do please try and support. Margaret P.

Recycling used Postage Stamps and unwanted Foreign Coins - I have been told of a few worthy charities that collect used postage stamps. The chosen one to start with is SUPPORT DOGS. These amazing dogs help support people with Autism, Epilepsy and various types of other disabilities with their everyday activities of daily living. They are very grateful to accept stamps but also foreign coins. A box for stamps is on the counter in the foyer and coins can be handed over to either Jenny Freeman or myself. Please tell your friends and neighbours to give you theirs, especially stamps in the run up to the Christmas period. Thank you for your support over the years. Bridget.
