Greetings to All - As we have done in previous years, I will prepare a place at the back of church for members to send their ‘greetings’ to friends and in doing so give a donation to charity. This year’s charity will be PARKINSONS UK. Please take this opportunity to support the charity and send ‘greetings’ to friends. Thank you. Margaret T.

Marriage and Relationships Consultation Meeting will take place on Monday 25th November 2019 at 7:30pm in the worship space at Wisewood Methodist Church and will be led by Rev'd Katie Leonowicz. This will not be an evening to discuss our opinions on the report 'God in Love Unites Us' or its content, but a time to prepare us for our discussions. All are welcome and encouraged to attend. For more information please speak to Rev’d Katie.

Christmas Fayre - The church hall will be open from 2:00pm on Friday 29th November to set up for the Christmas Fayre on Saturday 30th when it will be open from 9:00am ready for an 11:00am start. Thank you.

CARDS FOR GOOD CAUSES - The Charity Christmas Card shop is now open in a new home in Orchard Square (opposite Waterstones). The opening hours are Monday to Saturday (10:15am to 4:15pm). Come along and see our wide selection of charity cards and gifts. You may even recognise some of the volunteers. Enid.

Advent Sunday Service on 1st December at 10:30am will be led by Joan B.

Christmas Event - on Sunday 1st December between 3:00pm and 5:00pm there will be a Christmas Event on the site of the old school, on the corner of Rural Lane/Laird Road. This is a community event organised by the Friends of Wisewood group and is an opportunity to get alongside our neighbours.  Stannington training band will be playing carols between 3:15pm and 3:45pm and help with the singing would be much appreciated. If anyone is able to help with the activities during the event or help with getting things ready from about 1:00 o'clock, this too would be most helpful. Do please try and support. Margaret P.

Artworks Christmas Fayre - on Thursday 5th December between 12:30-3:00pm at St Polycarps Church, Malin Bridge S6 4WA. Please come and buy some amazing Christmas gifts, handcrafted by our talented artists at ‘Artwork’. Already done your Christmas shopping? Then just pop in for a drink and a piece of delicious cake.

The latest circuit newsletter is available to read or take a copy home from the vestibule desk

Recycling used Postage Stamps & unwanted Foreign Coins - I have been told of a few worthy charities that collect used postage stamps. The chosen one to start with is SUPPORT DOGS. These amazing dogs help support people with Autism, Epilepsy and various types of other disabilities with their everyday activities of daily living. They are very grateful to accept stamps but also foreign coins. A box for stamps is on the counter in the foyer and coins can be handed over to either Jenny Freeman or myself. Please tell your friends and neighbours to give you theirs, especially stamps in the run up to the Christmas period. Thank you for your support over the years. Bridget.
